Great feedback when I visited the site of the new student accommodation under construction at Bishops Gate in Coventry last Wednesday. Taylor Hart are in full swing with their partition and Dry Lining contract due to take them through to at least the middle of next year. I shadowed Russ Gretton, Site Manager for Taylor Hart and Bruce Bagnall, Construction Manager for Vinci Construction as we climbed to the 12th floor of the concrete shell and witnessed first hand, the productivity benefits the Trappco App solution brings to their daily inspections.
Russ told me that,
“Using the Trappco App saves me all of the back office admin work I used to have to do to bring together my handovers with photos etc.”
He went onto explain that the Vinci Site Managers, cc emailed from within the App, are impressed with the speed at which they are now receiving the inspection documents, since it was included a few weeks ago and more importantly that it is their own Partition Inspection sheet, presented as a PDF with embedded images.
Bruce also confirmed that receiving their own document meant they didn’t have to transfer the information into their records.
Having seen the conditions under which these inspections are carried out and sensing the time pressures that Site Managers are under to complete them, simplifying and streamlining the process can only be to everyone’s advantage.
